Emily Kandel Design is a small, client service oriented design firm. We specialize in residential projects with a focus on making your home an expression of your personality, not ours! It is your space and the goal is to make sure that it is a reflection of you. Emily Kandel Design specializes in residential interior design in the greater New York metropolitan area. Creating an environment that reflects the personality and lifestyle of my clients is our primary focus. With a bachelors degree from Bryn Mawr College and a BFA from Parsons School of Design, Emily brings a wide scope of knowledge and experience to each project. I enjoy designing custom cabinetry, and have designed and overseen the fabrication of cabinetry for kitchens, baths, wall units, media storage, closets and libraries. I have worked with modular systems as well. I enjoy using color and texture to make any space warm and inviting. I tend towards cleaner lines and a slightly more modern aesthetic, but enjoy the challenge of working on a project that incorporates any style based on the preferences of my clients. We can use anything, and as long as it is good design, it will work!
