I'm starting my own interior design and staging business!!! I'm so excited for this new season of my life. And what better time to start something amazing than the New Year! I've been doing some thinking. Instead of working and building someone else's empire, I'm going to work on building my own. Please note, Interior Design and home staging are not the same. Home staging is done to please the potential buyer. Interior Design is done to please the home owner. I've had experience in both interior design and staging homes but under the restrictions and rules of a design center. I've learned a lot and I'm very gratefully for the experiences I've had, both good and horrible. As of late, I've found myself leaning towards the staging aspect of interior design and I now have a plan. I've done some research and I am going to purchase a collection of home furnishings and accessories for staging future real-estate properties. I will still offer interior design services and continue staging but I will have more control and flexibility when it comes to the when, what, where, cost, and leasing options. When you find a glitch in the system, you want to either fix it or find something better. Usually, there are preset company guidelines and contracts that a designer has to work around and sometimes both the client and the designer suffer. Your end user always has to be top priority. I've worked hard to get to where I am and with hard work, networking, using my resources, and God's blessing, I know this is going to be MY YEAR!!
