Growing up in a house with white walls, wood paneling and brown carpet I had never been introduced into the wonderful world of design. Even so I was always rearranging my furniture and trying to make my room as cozy as possible. I covered my walls with things that represented who I was, and against my father’s objections, even my ceiling. I never considered this as interior design, I simply wanted my space to be my own. It wasn’t until my family and I were evicted from our home due to toxic mold that my eyes were opened to the wonderful world of design. Moving back into our house was like being given a blank canvas. My mother and I did not take this opportunity for granted. This was when I realized my talent for design. It came so naturally, it wasn’t taught, it was intuitive, hence the name Design by Intuition
