Susan Chew, founder and principal at Chew & Co. Design, LLC, has a master’s degree in interior design and nine years of professional design experience working at the firm Barbara Gisel Design in Haverford, PA. Susan has worked on projects in Main Line Philadelphia; New Vernon, NJ; Nantucket, MA; The Greenbriar in White Sulphur Springs, WV; Hanover, NH; and Hobe Sound, FL. Before getting her master’s in interior design at Drexel University, Susan completed her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth and then the University of Pennsylvania. After more than 15 years, she has returned to Hanover with her family to start Chew & Co. Design, a truly family owned and operated business. At Chew & Co. Design, the whole family pitches in, from the co-founder and head of marketing, Susan’s husband John, to the CFO and accountant Bill Lewis, Susan’s father and also a Dartmouth grad. At various times you will also find Susan’s mother, Mary Ann, her daughter, Sophie, and Appa the black lab minding the store. With decade of experience and a boundless passion for design, Susan is excited to be launching Chew & Co. Design and making her knowledge and skills available to Hanover and the Upper Valley.
