Catherine was very fortunate to grow up in a family of Architects, Photographers and Fine Artists. Seeing their success in doing what they loved encouraged her to explore her natural interests. Catherine was born and raised in Marin County, California, a place revered for it's natural beauty. She spent her childhood exploring the open space around her family home, swimming, riding bikes, and sailing. A huge lover of nature and photography, Catherine has always loved to incorporate these things into her design work.
