About Brown Bird Designs is owned and operated by Interior Designer, Emily Brown. Emily has an extensive background in kitchen and bath design and spent 5 years as the Director of Sales and Design for the custom cabinetry and furniture company, Ellis Woods. At Ellis Woods Emily worked with high end custom home builders and other designers to create beautifully designed built-ins which include kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities, desks and office built-ins, mantles and so much more. These designs were then built by some of Arizona’s most talented craftsmen and installed into some of the valley’s most prestigious homes, including those of professional athletes, an heir to a certain canned soup company and many other gorgeous estates. When tragedy struck, Emily opted out of the design world to take care of her beautiful son with special needs and her other two wonderful children. It was in 2013 that Brown Bird Designs was born! Emily opted back into the workplace, ready to take over the design industry! This time with a new goal in hand…to take her upper crust design experience and use it not just to continue to build and furnish the higher end homes of Arizona but to make high end design accessible to everyone. You don’t need to own a million dollar home in order to have a house that looks like a million bucks!
