BRITTNEY NIELSEN Brittney Nielsen’s goal as an interior designer is to create a harmonious and comfortable home by infusing her clients’ individual tastes with existing architectural cues. Before she returned to her Southern Californian roots, Brittney lived and worked in several regions of the U.S. including Chicago, Dallas, and Washington DC. This familiarity with a wide variety of regional aesthetics provides her with an in-depth appreciation for her clients’ range of unique styles. When she founded BNID in 2007, Brittney was able to tap into a breadth of knowledge gained over 20 years of experience in model home and residential design. Her expertise is put to good use as she works to maximize the design budget of each project while producing a sophisticated and timeless design tailored to each client. Brittney has a keen ability to visualize floor plans and excels in designing spatial layouts that maximize function and flow. These skills allow her to facilitate work with contractors and architects on the client’s behalf, acting as a comforting navigator in the often-unfamiliar territory of construction and design. Brittney has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from San Diego State University and is an allied member of ASID and several trade associations.
