I believe homes should be a refuge – a safe place for families to unwind and enjoy one another. The world is a hard enough place, our homes should be an oasis. Each space I create is an outpouring of this vision. I grew up with good design. You might even say it’s in my bones. My father was in the building industry, and my mother enjoys beautiful things. As a child and young adult, I grew up on jobsites with my dad, and learned floral décor and the importance of a beautiful table from my mom. Yet, I know beautiful things aren’t the final goal. A happy space where an individual or a family can converge and grow is the goal. My happiest space is my home – playing and creating with my husband and my two kids. Our home is our haven. Before opening my own firm in 2004, I was fortunate to work for Karen Hall at Cohagan Hall Interior Design.
