nterior Stylist & Collector, Amanda Overton Influence My interests and fascination with interiors harkens back to the 70's watching my mom decorate our home. Shades of chocolate brown and ivory, textures of natural grass and bamboo, the house fragrant of fresh eucalyptus and the melodies of female songwriters playing in the background stirred my spirit. My mother was stylish, an original who inspired me from an early age to develop a keen eye for design and collecting unusual and distinctive finds. A Native Texan, I relocated to Pasadena, California in 2005. I have lived in New Orleans, Dallas, Austin, New York City, traveled through Europe and more recently Vietnam. I am drawn to Latin American, North African and Southeast Asian Countries. I am inspired by the color, simplicity of interiors, the people and their culture. If I could time travel I would live in Hanoi in the 1930's...long drives listening to Townes Van Zandt and Bob Dylan...devastated by dark, rich cacao....love the aromatics of vietnamese pho, inspired by amazing people who work heart first and mind with a conscience. Can't live without love, animals and my cup of tea. I am passionate and committed to working with local artisans. I believe that each item in your home should resonate with you personally. There is a story behind each item made and a person who crafted it with care and incredible talent. I support these local brands and workshops. I am a personal collector of vintage, handmade goods and antique textiles.
