Kristen has the fundamental knowledge of and passion for designing great spaces. Raised in a Military family, Kristen’s exposure to diverse cultures informs her designs. Both her BA in Psychology, Early Childhood and Elementary Education and her BFA in Interior Design heavily influence her design process. “When working with my clients, I love walking them through what could be an overwhelming process and making it enjoyable and exciting for them. In the end it’s all about creating a soothing environment that reflects individual style.” Sadhna’s path to becoming a designer has drawn from several different life experiences. She was raised in Atlanta, Georgia by international transplants and, as a result, traveled extensively growing up. Before becoming an Interior Designer, she had a career as a Pediatrician in Nashville for many years. Sadhna is married to a talented gentleman, Jim. Together they live in Nashville, TN and Santa Barbara, CA with children in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and one still in college. Sadhna and Kristen met at O’More College of Design in Franklin, TN where they completed a BFA degree in Interior Design. They decided to partner to form Alabaster & Walnut Designs to share their passion of transforming houses into homes. Sadhna gets excited about capturing and incorporating underutilized spaces into everyday living spaces, solving space and flow issues, and organizing a messy space with solutions to easily keep it organized.
