Kate FitzGerald-Wilks received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in Textiles, which continues to be a life-long affinity. Before founding Timeless Design in 2001, Kate managed a woman's boutique and enjoyed the excitement of traveling to New York City to purchase clothing, as well as designing the window displays. Kate then switched gears and worked for the U.S Commerce Department's Textile Office and as an international trade officer. This experience opened her eyes to the richness of other world cultures. After leaving Washington, Kate's first entrepreneurial venture was as an antique dealer, further honing her merchandising and design skills. Kate moved Timeless Design to Landenberg, Pennsylvania in 2004. All of Kate's varied experiences have led to a rich and deep understanding of how to create unique, comfortable rooms that reflect the way her clients live and enhance their busy lives. Since moving to Pennsylvania in 2004, Timeless Design has steadily become a sought-after creator of warm, livable, exciting interiors. The decorator’s signature weaving of pattern, color and texture, in fabulous balance, has brought out the best in residences throughout Wilmington, Delaware and the surrounding areas .
