Richard Nelson began his design career as an associate of Mrs Henry Parish II, “Sister Parish” that lasted from 1956-1963. He opened his own interior decorating business in New York City in 1963. After many successful years behind him, he decided to relocate to picturesque Newport, Rhode Island in 1977, while maintaining a business office in Manhattan.
