As a Home Economics Major at California Polytechnic University, Tanya studied Interior Design as part of the degree program. Textile and advanced color classes encouraged her passion for creative and beautiful interiors. In 2002, her passion for colors, textures and paint techniques led Tanya to launch a color consulting, painting and sewing business. Desiring to learn and grow, Tanya graduated from Heritage School of Interior Design in 2007, and has completed a number of courses in Kitchen and Bath Design and Project Management. The focus of Tanya's career has been interior updating & remodeling, complete room makeovers and seasonal decorating. After working as the marketing director for a top realtor in the Portland area, Tanya was encouraged to focus on Real Estate Staging. With the goal to “define& simplify” and help the home to sell quickly for top dollar, Staging PDX, focuses on updating & staging that show cases the best qualities of the home allowing the potential homebuyer to visualize it as their own. Our staging projects include home updates, if needed, by licensed contractors, staging services and furniture & accessory rental. Tanya, a current member of the Real Estate Staging Association, the trade association for professional real estate stagers and re-designers, was named as one of RESA’s Top Rising Star Home Stagers of the Year™ North America in 2014 & 2015. In August, 2014, Staging PDX and 16 other local staging companies represented the Portland RESA Chapter in a service project for the Raphael House, a multi-faceted domestic violence agency. Through monetary donations, furniture & accessory donations and hands on decorating, we furnished two homes for families in the domestic violence program. Everyone was surpised at the finished homes & overwhelmed with emotion. It was an amazing experience for our chapter members.?
