Christina Collins-Pezzner is a designer and stylist of both apparel and interiors based out of downtown Seattle, WA. Her studio is in the heart of Pioneer Square, surrounded by social service buildings. For the last three years, she's witnessed a large increase in the homeless population around the city. "How do you stare a problem in the face daily and ignore it? It's important to pitch in with solutions and help create safe spaces, shelter, and wellness support for the less affluent members in our communities." Thus Spatial Matters, Inc. is born: a 2-part business with big plans for creating a future of resources for no income and low income housing. We are currently getting the business off the ground and obtaining private/ public funding. In addition, 5% of each project from our design co. will be allocated towards creating private builds of tiny homes on land near the city- which will include facilities with an emphasis on wellness and personal growth. I practically eat and breathe design. I think it's safe to say that I've been creating since I learned how to control my voice and hands. I'm a trained graphic, apparel, set and home designer and have worked across all fields for the past 16 years, most recently decorating homes and customizing furniture. I spent the last 3+ years designing home sets and styling editorial photos for Zulily.com in their editorial department. Prior to Zulily, I spent 5 years building a children's lline of clothing, called Ricicli. Ricicli was sold in over 25 stores across the NW and featured in many magazines and blogs. We won a business grant from the Eileen Fisher Foundation in 2011 and the Mary Dore award for fundraising efforts using my designs that benefit N.I.S.S.A., year after year.
