Safae is the principal designer and founder of Safae Interior Design. Born in Morocco and raised in the US (Florida and New York City), Safae received her four year Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in Interior design from New York's prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology. She supplemented her design education by studying Art History as her minor. During her four years of design school, Safae interned for award winning design firms such as Jamie Drake, Thom Filicia, Victoria Hagan Interiors and Bilkey Llinas Design. During her professional career Safae worked with some of the city's most respected architectural firms, notably Rees Roberts + Partners and Selldorf Architects. Throughout her career, she has overseen a diverse range of projects. She has led projects such as a new modern residence in San Diego, a two story apartment renovation on Central Park West in NYC, Martha Washington Hotel, which included the restaurant Marta, by the celebrated Danny Meyer and interiors related specifying for renovations at Christie's auction house at Rockefeller Center, among other projects. Safae Interior Design was founded in 2015. In combining her experience of high-end design and a keen eye for detail, Safae has developed an aesthetic that is modern, fresh, fun and highly curated. She has excellent relationships with all the skilled professionals and tradesmen needed to collaborate and execute projects of the highest caliber. Safae brings a great level of passion and energy to her projects and prides herself on making the client's need her top priority.
