PENELOPE DABORN, ASID ALLIED, PRINCIPAL Growing up in Kenya and India, lands of sumptuous visual contrasts, Penelope’s appreciation of color and shape is as instinctive as it is learned. Her education in the U.K. and work in London, Vancouver and New York developed a discerning eye for spatial relationships, and an innate ability to listen was honed by years spent in the world of non-profit organizations. She opened Penelope Daborn Ltd. in 1996, shortly after moving to Maine. DENISE DILLOW, PROJECT AND STUDIO MANAGER Denise joined PDL on returning to Maine after pursuing a career in many other states as a senior manager for a telecommunications firm. Her experience broadened her strong management and organizational skills, which she applies in handling the many details of each project. Her previous experience in a professional workroom also gave Denise a thorough understanding of techniques in the fabrication of soft furnishings.
