Blessed with creativity from early childhood, Janelle Williamson attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she studied design. Janelle's apartment eventually became a canvas for her vision, and let fly a passion for interior design. Inspired by her creative and comfortable space, girlfriends began to "pick Janelle's brain," until one suggested that she start her own company. Novia- aptly meaning "girlfriend" in Spanish- was born. At Novia Design Studio, Janelle works to meld lighting, color, fabric, texture, and persona; style to create a room that is worth living or working in- a warm, meaningful space. Janelle believes it all starts with listening to her client's needs and then creating a design that is inviting, yet clean and simple. The beauty is in the details!
