Munsey Park Décor was founded by Manhasset resident Georgia Katsoulis in 2013. After studying fine arts and textile design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Georgia spent years designing printed and woven fabrics to the trade and design houses like Kravet, Stroheim and Spectrum. This gave her the opportunity to work alongside the most talented Interior Designers in the industry, custom developing textiles to fit their particular needs. However it was the years spent with Calvin Klein Home, as their Director of Product Development, that validated her talent as an Interior Decorator. Working closely with their Creative Director taught her how one piece of artwork could inspire an entire collection of home products. On a break from the industry to care for her growing family, she became focused on her passion for special event décor. She specializes in creating unique items by hand – invitations, place cards, favors, decorations and centerpieces. The hosts love the attention to detail and really appreciate creating an atmosphere that reflects their unique personality. The creation of her business, Munsey Park Décor, has given Georgia the opportunity to make a personal passion a career. She credits her fine art background, which has given her a keen eye for color, composition and balance of spaces. Georgia continues to be inspired by her travels throughout Europe and Asia. Her relaxed approach to formal spaces results in interiors that are sophisticated yet comfortable. She firmly believes that the key to creating a lifestyle for her client is to listen to their needs, find their inspiration, and use that to spark the entire palette.
