Maureen is an experienced Interior Designer with a critical eye and strong client service orientation. She delivers creative furniture and materials solutions to integrate with architectural design. She is highly regarded for collaborative style and ability to balance clients’ functional needs, while ensuring a cohesive result and meeting project schedules and budgets. Maureen Cornwell has practiced Interior Design in New York City for thirty years. She has a Business degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Masters in Interior Design from Pratt Institute and began her career with several small NYC design firms, eventually spending 15 years with Architect, Charles Patten. Charles and Maureen worked together on offices for a number of Advertising Agencies, Banks and Trading Floors as well as high end Residential projects. Maureen's talent and knowledge of furniture, color and overall know-how contributed to the firms success and years of repeat clients. Maureen continued her focus on work space during 10 years with Spacesmith, LLC, and as one of several principals for 7 of those years. There Maureen and her team designed and built a variety of office types from non-profits to schools, government agencies, and media companies as well as leading two three-year contracts with Ralph Lauren to design and build office and showroom space.
