Lavette Shrem was an actor in NYC performing on stage and screen for years. Her love of design began during her extensive travels, then grew as she studied stage and set design. While acting, she became an assistant to Deborah Buck - artist, designer and owner of the antique jewel box, Buck House on Madison Avenue. Over seven years, Lavette gained insight into the design world working with various top designers and their clients. Eventually, her passion for design blossomed into her own company.
