Hi, I'm Laureen Gibbel. I'm married and a mom of 6 energetic children. I love to cook, bring order to our life, and go on dates with my husband John! After investing fifteen years as a Registered Nurse specializing in cardiology, I left my career in nursing to focus my efforts on our family. Shortly after, in pursuit of my passion, I obtained my Certificate of Home Interiors from the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. My love for design has developed organically, beginning with fixing up a series of houses that John and I purchased to live in during our first 10 years of marriage. Some projects were as simple as upgrading paint and flooring finishes. Others required full renovations of kitchens, bathrooms, and reconfiguring walls to create the spaces we envisioned. I loved the transformation of turning a tired, outdated house into a peaceful oasis that we called home. My children have taught me to design with practical elegance. Presently my home is designed with an eye toward durability and replaceability, in order to withstand the wayward choices of young children and their writing instruments. As the needs of every season of life and situation are different, so can be the approach to design.
