Thomas Jayne Studio, based in New York City, is made up of a group of designers who share a distinct perspective on design. That point of view focuses on the idea that possessing an understanding of the history of the decorative arts and architecture can provide insight into current ideals of decoration. It also serves as a springboard for new decoration, in which traditional and classic tenets can be seen and utilized in new ways. Hence, the Studio’s designers take inspiration from the past, but seek new meaning and relevancy in it. The rooms they create are grounded in tradition but feel original and modern in their outlook.
