Jesse Vickers, Principal Training as a professional seamstress alongside her mother, Jesse gained an appreciation for quality textiles and detailed construction at a very young age. With an immediate interest in design, Jesse began working with interiors beginning in her teenage years and has continued to do so since. In 2010, she embarked on a creative director and chief branding officer position in the fashion industry. After contributing to the successful launch and national spread of a now widely recognized apparel line, Jesse's love of interior design beckoned, and she decided to take a leap and launch her own firm in early 2012. Throughout the years, Jesse's resume has included both residential and commercial projects big and small. From restaurants and lounges to living rooms, nurseries, and outdoor spaces, Jesse has shown a full range of capabilities. Jesse has established wonderful relationships with national vendors, which has secured the best pricing for her clients. She also works side by side with area craftsmen who build custom furnishings and art pieces for her clients to bring a local, personal feel to every design project. Jesse's style ranges from clean and transitional to edgy and graphic. She is very influenced by textiles and her travels throughout Europe and Latin America. When she is not working (which she confesses she does too much!), Jesse enjoys being outdoors in beautiful Charleston, dancing, cooking for her dearest friends, and being a social butterfly at the many wonderful events and venues that Charleston has to offer. In her spare time, Jesse is pursuing further education with her master's degree in interior archicteture and design. Jesse can be reached at 843-696-6827 or jlv@jlvcreative.com. M E E T G A B R I E L L E Gabrielle Pendarvis, Junior Designer As a Charleston native, Gabrielle has a unique interest in restoration. This passion led her to pursue a Bachelor's of Fine Art in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Charleston while working her way through school in hospitality. This experience instilled in her a passion for restuarant and hospitality design. Over the past three years, Gabrielle was given the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the US and internationally. It was during this time that she acquired an appreciation for an array of different furnishing and architectural styles that she encountered along the way. These combined experiences have given her an appreciation for varied aesthetics: she appreciates a transitional, Charleston charm but also loves a crisp, modern European feel. She comfortably navigates neutrals one moment, while effortlessly incorporating bold color the next. Gabrielle is also known for her attention to detail and logical approach to design. We are excited for Gabrielle as she prepares for the NCIDQ exam and ASID membership. Reach Gabrielle at gabrielle@jlvcreative.com. M E E T A S H L E Y Ashley McDonald, Selections Specialist Starting out as an interior design major at Virginia Tech, Ashley managed to combine her two passions: a way with words and a love of design. This took her to Charleston Home + Design magazine, where she had an all-encompassing position that required immense attention to detail, passion for aesthetics, and excellent customer service. Ashley is no stranger to hard work. She goes all in when it comes to becoming an expert in her field: she has taken staging courses and obtained her real estate license to further parlay her penchant for home and design. She pursues continuing education and has a true thirst for knowledge. Ashley is the first person to lend a hand. She'll find a detail no one else managed to catch. And she welcomes everyone with a genuine smile and an excitement for every project thrown her way. We are vey happy to welcome Ashley to the JLV family! M E E T L E A H Leah Southard, Selections Specialist Leah has a background in customer service and retail. But that's only part of the story. The reality is that Leah has spent much of her life dedicated to others, helping them reach their true potential. Only recently has she decided to pursue her own passion, and we couldn't be more happy. Leah has always been passionate about interior design and has finally gotten the opportunity to fulfill her dreams. She's stylish, well versed in aesthetics, and informed about the design industry. This natural proclivity toward aesthetics accompanied with a desire to uplift and serve is what makes Leah so unique. When tasked with a new challenge, she researches till the cows come home and works around the clock to deliver the best options for her clients. Leah's excitement to pursue her passion is infectious, and we are thrilled to see her flourish with our group of designers. M E E T A U B R E Y Aubrey Grooms, Design Intern Aubrey is our newest addition to the team, and it seems like the sky is the limit for this motivated young woman. She is pursuing a degree in Historic Preservation and French and is expressly interested in interior design. No task is too big or small for Aubrey, and her willingness to assist on all projects has really set her apart from other intern candidates. She has wowed us with her enthusiasm, and we are truly excited for her future with JLV Creative.
