Prior to undertaking the interior design program at Marymount University, Karen Snyder, the principal of Interiors of Washington, obtained a B.S. in Business Administration from George Mason University and worked for the A.C. Nielsen Company and Guiffre Distributing Company, a local Anheuser Busch distributorship. Interiors of Washington is licensed as a general contractor in the state of Maryland. AWARDS In March of 2015, Interiors of Washington was inducted into Bethesda’s Business Hall of Fame, the only design firm in Bethesda to have received this distinction after having been voted "Best Interior Designer or Decorator of Bethesda" for four years running. Selected by the International Women's Leadership Association as a "Woman of Outstanding Leadership", in September 2015.
