After leaving her corporate job with IBM in 1995 to raise her three children, Karen decided to pursue her life- long passion for art and design. She began her interior decorating career as a design assistant for BMAC Interiors in 2003. After BMAC relocated to Louisiana in 2008, Karen opened her own full service interior design studio, in2 interiors, in Millbrook, NY. Since then, Karen and her team of qualified and respected trade professionals have been creating beautiful residential and commercial spaces throughout the Hudson Valley, Dutchess County, Columbia County, New York and Connecticut. With over 10 years of experience in the field of interior design, Karen continues to expand her knowledge and expertise by completing interior design CEUs and has recently become a certified interior decorator with C.I.D. International. Karen takes her work seriously but incorporates a sense of fun and edginess in her designs. Her focus on residential spaces is to achieve restful and beautiful surroundings that function well for her clients. Her focus on commercial spaces is to achieve beauty and function with productivity in mind. Karen loves texture, favoring natural materials such as linen, cotton, and silk. She skillfully blends them based on her clients' taste and style. Always mindful of our environment, Karen helps her clients choose "green" and environmentally friendly products for their design projects.
