Patricia Salcedo, President of III View Design & Construction, Inc. has been on the forefront of trend-setting design since she began creating window treatments over 25 years ago. While working as a young paralegal assistant, Salcedo used her creative vision to design window treatments for family and friends. Her unique viewpoint, sense of color, and texture made her designs one-of-a-kind and desirable. She then decided to enter interior design school to hone her skills and learn all aspects of interior design; the field she was destined to redefine. Shortly thereafter she grew a thriving full-service design firm, P.S. Micaza Interiors, Inc. Salcedo’s longtime dream of creating a “one stop shop for the home” came to fruition with the establishment of Dakota Design Center. The 10,000 square foot design showroom, located on the south shore of Long Island, welcomed walk-ins, clients, and the trade and was home to exciting vignettes and materials which inspired ideas and creativity. When Super Storm Sandy wreaked havoc on Dakota Design Center Salcedo vowed to overcome the setback and address the needs of her clientele despite the losses. The experience inspired her to establish a design group, even stronger than before. With residences on Long Island, New York and Florida, Salcedo is inspired by each locale incorporating the best design elements of both whether working on projects in Florida or New York. Salcedo’s vision, experience, and resources shape rooms that are a harmonious marriage of function, innovation, and beauty.
