The Interview: Upon meeting with a new potential client many questions and answers help to identify the fine points that distinguish what the client wants for the character and feel of their new space. After all, it’s about the client and what they want. We may have a look of our own, but that hardly matters here. The Scope: We like to make lists. Our proposal, if you’re waiting on one from us is going to include everything we promise to do to complete the project and arrive at ‘nirvana’. The Budget: The best way we know how to design a space that works for the client is to complete it in such a way that it not only answers to the ambient goal & a level of excellence but also a financial goal. Based on what the client’s needs and wants are, a budget is established. It’s a list in Excel with items and costs. Keeping it simple.
