At Fryday & Doyne, we commit to excellence. Meet the Principals John Fryday and Mike Doyne, the principals of Fryday & Doyne, offer clients 75+ combined years of architectural experience. Before creating Fryday & Doyne, they worked in Charlotte’s most prestigious firms. John B. Fryday, AIA/ASID/LEED AP John, a North Carolina native, earned a Bachelor of Architecture from UNC Charlotte and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from NC State University. He is one of the few Charlotte architects who is also a certified interior designer. His career path includes five years with Wolf Associates Architects, an internationally recognized firm, and five years with JN Pease Associates, one of Charlotte’s largest firms, where he was Director of Interior Design and later Assistant to the Director of Architecture. He has received credit on projects published in the trade magazines Interiors, Architecture, Casabella (Italy), Architectural Review (Great Britain), and Revista Technica (Italy). Registered Architect in North Carolina Member, American Institute of Architects Member, American Society of Interior Designers Certified, National Council for Interior Design Qualification LEED certified by the US Green Building Council Michael Doyne, AIA/NCARB Michael, a longtime Charlotte resident earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Michael worked as a Senior Associate at JN Pease Associates, one of Charlotte’s largest Architecture and Engineering firms. There he was responsible for projects ranging from Duke Power’s Phase II Electric Center and the North Carolina Center for Public Television to the Renovation of the Duke University Eye Center in Durham. As an Associate and Principal at Peterson Associates, Michael directed and designed major hospital projects, including Pardee Memorial, several major projects and a Master Plan for Moses Cone hospital and the award winning Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Registered Architect in North Carolina and South Carolina Member, American Institute of Architects Certified National Council of Architectural Registration Board
