Joanie McGrath is a LEED® Accredited Professional (Leadership Energy Environmental Design). As a third generation Colorado native, I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Denver with a Business Administration Degree in Marketing. Furthering my education, I went on to obtain a Master’s Degree from the Kellogg Executive MBA Program at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Years later, traveling abroad and living in Italy for a year, my inspiration to design environments to mirror the beauty of it’s surroundings on the human side of the front door was realized. Today, I divide my time between Denver, Colorado and Charlotte, North Carolina. “I strive to achieve balance utilizing the principles of color, form, light, and composition, and, creating harmony between a home and its natural surroundings. The beauty is in the mix.” Through this work ethic, my designs incorporate the simplicity of bringing outside elements into living spaces with the use of natural stones, organic textures, while incorporating the elements of earth, fire, and water, and, ultimately achieving the style and the commitment to integrate the beauty of nature into living spaces.
