As a young woman, I began teaching children with behavior disorders and quickly ascended to the positions of school principal then central office administrator. I loved my work; both with the kids and developing the staff. It was tough to leave the profession, but when my family relocated from the Chicago area to Washington D.C., I had the opportunity to pursue my other passion...interior design. I returned to school to receive my interior design certification and immersed myself in the industry by serving active rolls in our local chapters of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and IFDA (International Furnishings and Design Association).
