Donahue Paye is a boutique interior design firm founded by partners Carrie Donahue and Danielle Paye in early 2008. After working together for several years at Milne and Paye, a one-stop design and build firm which offered architectural design, construction expertise as a licensed contractor and interior design services, the design team recognized that their growing client base would be best served with a hands-on approach informed by their over 20 years combined experience in the real estate development and custom home arena. Based on the San Francisco peninsula, Milne and Paye capitalized on the insular real estate market and built homes in the 5000-10000 square foot range for a refined and discerning clientele. Donahue Paye has expanded on this base, partnering with other developers, general contractors, and private clients to offer their unique talent and experience to new creative ventures. The aim of Donahue Paye is to recognize their clients’ innate sense of style in order to elevate and enhance their experience with their environment. Our aesthetic is a modern take on the classics, cleaned-up and unfussy, with bold accents that work in harmony with color and texture to define a space. We believe that successful design incorporates these elements in order to “speak” with ease and clarity, cultivating an experience between the space and its inhabitant. Carrie Donahue started her career in film and television, primarily coordinating and managing shoots for the fast-paced and lucrative commercial industry. Her success bringing jobs in on time and on budget allowed her to seamlessly transition into the residential home market where she completes large-scale, multi-phase projects with set budgets and schedules without sacrificing aesthetic vision. While based in Los Angeles, she also worked in the film and fashion industries in New York and Paris.
