With my children departing for college, I decided to explore my life-long interest in design and antiques. In Indianapolis, I worked for two high-end furniture stores, Kittles and Gerdt Furniture. In this initial entry into design, I studied the construction of furniture, color, fabrics, space design, and window treatments. Within a few years, I spread my wings and began to work as a consultant for individual residents and contractors. When I moved to Wisconsin, I formed my business, Designing Ideas. With my knowledge base from retail furniture stores and consulting for residential clients, my business flourished. I currently service clients in Brookfield, Elm Grove, Pewaukee, Delafield, Oconomowoc, and throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. While my specialties are window treatments, furniture, carpet, and accessories, I also work with contractors who provide paint services, kitchen and bath design, and lighting. My goal when working with clients is to make the design process enjoyable and effortless.
