I started Design Works Ltd. back in Delmar, NY, after studying interior design at Russel Sage College. I fell in love with the fabrics, the colors, the shapes and how putting all the elements together can create a brand new space! Before I could find a job with a design firm, I had someone ask me to create some draperies. I thought "I have a client; maybe I should start my own business." I love working directly with clients, letting my creativity flow to give them even more than they expected, so I decided to give it a whirl. That was in 1979 and I haven't looked back. The smile on my clients' faces just energizes me to keep turning their "ugly ducklings" into swans over and over again!
