At Bottles & Wood we take pride in building the most innovative upcycled products in the world! It all started 7 years ago with BottleHood. Those were tough times in San Diego, jobs were hard to find, the Mira Mar landfill was near overflowing, and a couple of us felt compelled to invent a business which addressed local job creation and social responsibility. The concept was simple; we would reclaim bottles from local hotels, restaurants, and bars, repurpose them into glassware,and sell them back into our community. The concept proved potent and in the past 7 years we’ve repurposed nearly a half a million glasses. Through our relationships with wineries we came to build a line of products based on oak wine barrels and Bottles & Wood was born. Our line of wood serving ware now includes serving trays, cutting boards, butcher block and a variety of custom built culinary presentation products for the banquet and catering industries. As our client base expanded our product line grew to include lighting and products for the home décor markets. As a result of market opportunity and a respect for our lightning fast design and build capabilities, we’ve come to focus our efforts on restaurant renovation where we have the opportunity to put all of our talent and skills to the test. From private dining rooms and boards rooms to bistros and craft beer breweries, we’ve helped put together some of the coolest venues in San Diego. Now, through a series of partnerships, we’re out to expand our focus to serve all of California and the Southwest. While we still maintain a retail presence on ETSY and Houzz, our focus is on working with major retailers and hospitality companies in order to make the largest impact possible on our environment and job creation. We love getting involved with residential and commercial undertakings at their inception so we can do all we can to reuse or refurbish as many of the existing elements in a home or restaurant as possible.
