After completing a BA in economics, an MBA in Marketing and Finance and pursuing careers in banking and high-tech marketing, Beth attended Rhode Island School of Design and created Blank Canvas Interiors to pursue a career in a field that she had always been drawn to on a personal level. At RISD, she received the distinction of “Best in Class” at her final portfolio review in 2008. Taking the paradigms of business school and applying them to interior design, Beth combines art and science in her approach. She is strategic in creating spaces that are not only functional for the specific needs of her client, but are representative of the personality of her clients whether the client is a single man, a family of five with a live-in nanny or anything in between. Each client is entirely unique in the way they live in a space, not to mention the variation in aesthetic tastes from client to client. This is what makes each job challenging, interesting and exciting.
