You might want to know a little about me before we work together on your home or business. Ilorraine-grandfather am a native of Maine and the owner and designer of Blais Construction & Design. This beautiful and adventure filled State is a part of my soul….and my grandfathers and fathers as well. Contracting has been in my family for 3 generations! The black and white photo to the right is my Grandfather Joe Blais at the age of 26 in his work truck. My father was also a general contractor who had a passion for building. I grew up with five brothers, I was the only girl and he was proud of it. At age 18, I decided to spread my wings and left Maine to travel for a while. I landed in Boston….where I stayed for several years, working in the world of retail. Ready again to fly, I traveled to New York City. After finding a job in “ready to wear” on Broadway, I settled on the Upper East Side where I stayed for 8 years before heading south again, this time for the Sunshine State. Moving to Boca Raton, Florida gave me the opportunity to follow my long-time dream of becoming an Interior Designer. I love challenges and working with people. So my opening of 3 Interior Design Stores and combined with Freelance Interior Design filled an important career void.
