Joanna Dole has been painting and designing for most of her life. She received a Bachelor of Science in Art Education at Emmanuel College. While teaching Art in the City of Boston High Schools, she completed her Master’s Degree in Art at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, earning Honors in her studio courses. She also spent six months studying Art in Rome, Italy. Joanna continued doing design and layout for private clientele, businesses during her teaching years. She began working for decorators, doing showhouses, and designing for businesses and private clients. She has advised and consulted in home decor along with conceiving and executing her own designs and color interpretations. She excels at trompe l’oeil, faux finishes, and decorative furniture that she designs and has constructed by an expert cabinetmaker.
