Annette is an accomplished professional with more than 18 years of interior design experience. She has gained the majority of her experience in design and knowledge about space planning and utilization through her career in commercial design working for Steelcase Inc., a global company that develops and manufactures furniture, interior architecture and technology products and services for corporate offices. During her tenure at Steelcase, Annette has designed major spaces for their facilities as well as large commercial customers. She has worked closely with dealers and consulted with architectural design firms, building relationships and sharing insight about user-centered design. She is a creative problem solver with strong organizational skills and a commitment to quality and the customer. Several years ago, Annette decided to embrace her passion for creativity paired with functionality and shifted her focus to residential design. As owner and principal designer of her own business, she is now offering residential interior design services to homeowners and builders. Annette notices details, loves clean lines, values functionality and is appreciative of many different styles. She is highly influenced by her surroundings and believes that space should not only support the way people live and work, but that the home environment should compliment ones style. She also believes that quality and value are important components of any project. Although Annette’s experience has been focused on design, she has held a variety of roles that include additional experience in marketing, sales, project management, leadership, consulting, strategic planning and process improvement. Annette holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design from Michigan State University where she also participated in an overseas study program. She is nationally certified in interior design (NCIDQ) and has been trained in green building practices.
