Aleksander Alembert was born and raised in the united states of America to a family of great unity and love, where fashion and inner values were paramount within the household. His greatest mentor was his Godfather, Antonio Desoto Alembert, a famous portrait artist/photographer and well-traveled soul from Havana, Cuba. During the 1940-1960’s, he became the portrait artist for Hollywood celebrities and the Royal families throughout the world. Both his work and travels to various countries were compiled in large photo albums, and slide shows. His godfather would often sit with him and pour through the albums, showing him the world thru his lens. Another influence was his mother a “fashionista” who had great passion for “haute couture”. She always said that “you can uplift society with the way you dress .” This was very influential in understanding the importance of style and image. In his young teens he found himself simultaneously dealing with contractors in building and renovating homes. He learned and observed the field from the standpoints of architecture, engineering , laying foundations, raising walls, electrical, flooring, carpentry etc., to completion of designing and installing furnishings, paintings and landscaping. “Wah, I like this!!” Alembert thought. Next, he began looking for real estate to buy, redo, and resell. While gaining this experience for several years, he found himself collecting furniture, usually antiques or reproductions, to place in these homes so as to expedite and entice a sale. In 1993 he opened an antique store, which became a well-known place to buy furnishing for the general public, other dealers and interior designers. “What great experience doing this business,” he says, “It was a daily rearranging of space, creating new ideas to display and constantly buying and selling.” It was time to move on and grow from there so he packed up and got hired with the president of the ASID. He started with this design firm and gained experience directly in the field. He worked with several other prominent designers, until he finally went out on his own and allowed his unique style to emerge. In 1996, he was hired to do a penthouse apartment facing the ocean, where the elevator went only to the apartment. This was his first big job and a challenge to do all by himself. He discovered that the client was so happy and now empowered to finally feel like a rich man, even though he was already worth $millions! Alembert realized this was a great method and talent he had; to bring about the best in everyone by creating atmospheres of great value, which uplifted his clients. Alembert gradually began his lifelong desire to travel, and has had the greatest opportunities to see the world on his own. He has traveled though the USA, Europe and Asia, searching for and visiting the greatest hotels, palaces, and museums – enjoying the different people and their cultures on this earth, while appreciating their similarities. He has studied and specialized in an array of interiors from many different cultures and periods , such as European decor, Rococo, Baroque, neo-classical, renaissance, Adams style, museum decor, art nouveau, contemporary and art deco right here in his own back yard. What great fortune He’s had to travel such and experience the beauty of architecture and decor. “Decor creates the atmosphere and the atmosphere influences all of those who enter and or live in such space” Alembert proclaims. So the importance of decor has become paramount in his life so he can enable others to live at their best. Today He chooses to move in the direction where many can be benefited as they travel, vacation, etc. Hotels and resorts bring many to stay primarily because of the decor of the hotel and how it makes them feel. Within his travels and research, however, he discovered the lack of great spaces and atmospheres that should have created such values for guest. Today Aleksander (or Alembert) creates a difference in the world one room at a time. So here we are “meeting” today and as you look further in the oncoming pages, you can experience the different spaces He has created. Alembert invites you to place yourself in each and ask yourself, “How do I feel?” Wishing you a delightful experience and may the BEST in you emerge.
