In 1972 Aldo Benavides Sr. started his carpet installing business, Aldo Carpets, in Bayonne, NJ with a simple belief – to deliver quality service at reasonable prices without compromising his integrity. These values have represented the core mission for the company, and fueled its growth ever since. Gaining success, Benavides Sr. and his wife Maria opened up a carpet store shortly thereafter, and began growing its retail, commercial and homebuilder business. Having worked early on with some of the leading homebuilders throughout New York and New Jersey, including K. Hovnanian, Toll Brothers and Calton Homes, Benavides Sr. created the foundation for a strong family business. In 1992 Benavides Sr.'s three sons – Aldo Jr., Albert and Alex – joined the business, and have been instrumental in expanding the company throughout the northeast, taking on new product lines and growing its operations out of a 30,000 square feet design center and warehouse in Carteret, NJ.
