As a child, I would re-arrange my own bedroom and beg my mom to let me decorate the house. School finally became easy when I attended Iowa State University in the College of Design. Finally, classes I could ace and understand! It was made for me! My move back to Texas landed me in Austin where I began working for a design franchise. It was all the sales experience they don't teach you in design school. After that, I began working for a builder which is where most of my passion for this business was born. I was thrown into a position that forced me to solve problems. It was the best learning experience I could have asked for and I believe every starving designer should be given this opportunity. When I had clients seeking me outside of my full time job with interest in my design vision, it became obvious that I needed to branch out on my own. I wanted to start a business that had a different business model than the rest. Instead of being the designer you call for just a new paint color or throw pillow, I want to be the designer you call for all your home needs. While I can certainly choose paint colors and furnish your living room, my spectrum of abilities is much more broad. I'd love to help you plan your home from the architectural plans through the completion of construction, including any and all fixtures, materials and space planning. New builds are exciting but I also love remodeling. I can bring my own contractors and act as your project manager or I'd be happy to work with the contractor of your choice. I am not an architect but I will gladly participate in the discussion about moving walls and making more sense of your space. New paint, new rugs, new window treatments and new furniture also fall into my scope of work as a way to make your home a better reflection of you.
