Principal Scott Kress began his formal design education at the Merritt School of Horticulture in Oakland, California. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Design from San Francisco State University, and then relocate to Cannes, France to attend an International Business Management program at the esteemed Ceram University. Back in California Scott and four partners built an equipment contracting coporation focused on special events. For ten years Fullscale Productions created spaces and earned repeat clients that included Live Nation, Dewars, AEG Live, Comcast, SF Giants, Ritz-Carlton, and UC Berkeley. In 2013, after earning his master's degree in Interior Architecture & Design from the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Scott opened 64 Design.
